We’ve been here as a theatre since 1999, welcoming and entertaining residents and visitors from far and wide. Our beautiful listed building offers accessible facilities and a friendly welcome to all. We’re a hub for a variety of the town’s major theatrical events, with a year-round packed programme of live shows from in-house productions to music, comedy, dance, opera, musicals and a celebrated, ever-popular family pantomime. HOW TO FIND US.
There is a car park on Westgate, directly opposite The Lamproom Theatre, which is a Pay and Display car park.
Charges do not apply after 6.00pm and at weekends. If this car park is full, there is alternative parking at Churchfield, which is a two minute walk from The Lamproom Theatre, and is also a Pay and Display car park.
The Lamproom Theatre is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Barnsley Interchange, from where buses and trains run – please plan your journey by public transport by visiting www.travelsouthyorkshire.com

Our bar is open 45 minutes before the advertised performance time and for one hour after the conclusion of the show. It is also open during the intermission.
